[3dRudder for PC]: How to use the 3dRudder with your Oculus Quest?

Introduction

In this document, we describe how you can use your 3dRudder for PC with the Oculus Quest headset.

You can now use the 3dRudder in the following settings:
- Web experiences (JavaScript, WebVR, BabyloneJs...) which integrate the new feature of our SDK ( network connexion),
- The Unleash VR mode ( Dashboard) with the Oculus Link Headset Cable,
- An App for Oculus Quest which has integrated our last SDK.

You need to plug your 3dRudder (USB)  on a PC ( Windows 10).

You're accessing here a Beta version.
Thank you in advance for telling us about any problems you may encounter, as well as any suggestions.

Connexion

When you use one of your samples, the first step is to connect your 3dRudder.
We use your PC as a bridge to connect to the Quest wirelessly in a client/server mode.

  2. The sample runs on the browser on the Quest (Client)

It's necessary that your client and server are connected to the same network

  1. The default web browser,
  2. Firefox Reality (https://www.oculus.com/experiences/quest/2180252408763702

You have two ways to make the connexion from our samples.
  1. Discovery: With the "try connexion button", the sample finds and displays all servers available.
  2. Manual: Set manually the IP of our server.

You can find the IP of the server under the Dashboard on the About page.
